Visit Bormes-les-Mimosas
Just 3 km from the campsite, the medieval village of Bormes-les-Mimosas is a must-see. Listed as one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages, this Provencal gem will win you over with its picturesque narrow streets, ochre-hued houses and famous “cuberts”, typical vaulted passageways.
Perched 154 meters above sea level, the village offers breathtaking panoramic views over the bay of Le Lavandou and the Golden Isles. Stroll among the bright bougainvilleas and fragrant mimosas, discover the 18th-century Saint-Trophyme church and climb up to the medieval castle, listed as a historic monument.

Bormes-les-Mimosas is also the starting point for the Route du Mimosa, which stretches 130 km to Grasse.


Villages and places of interest around the campsite
To visit the Var in all its diversity, there are numerous excursions available from our campsite.
Saint-Tropez
Only a few kilometers separate you from the mythical town of Saint-Tropez. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to discover one of the Côte d’Azur’s top destinations. Stroll along the harbour to admire the world’s most beautiful yachts. During your visit to Saint-Tropez, you’ll also enjoy shopping in the streets of the historic center and soaking up the distinctive atmosphere of this fishing village turned international seaside resort.
Porquerolles
Just a few minutes by boat from the port of La Favière, discover the island of Porquerolles. This little corner of paradise will delight and charm you with its verdant setting and turquoise waters. Whether you’re lazing on the famous Plage Notre-Dame (voted Europe’s most beautiful beach) or cycling through the countryside, days on the island are a delight.

Fort de Brégançon
A presidential summer residence since 1968, the Fort de Brégançon is open to visitors in summer, with guided tours lasting 2 h 30. A place steeped in history, not to be missed!


Hiking and cycling from Bormes-les-Mimosas
Looking for adventure? There’s no shortage of things to do in the Var, starting with hiking.
Between land and sea, for all levels, you’ll be amazed by the landscapes that surround you.
Bormes-les-Mimosas is criss-crossed by two long-distance hiking trails: GR 90 and GR 51. TheTourist Office offers 7 marked trails ranging from 2 to 8 hours, including :
- Notre-Dame de Constance (2 h): 12th-century chapel with breathtaking views
- Lac du Trapan (6 km): an easy walk ideal for families
- La Forêt du Dom (17 km): hiking in the heart of the Maures massif
But that’s not all: we’d like to introduce you to the most beautiful hiking trails around the campsite. So don’t wait, and come to Camping Lou Cabasson to explore the Var on foot or by bike!
Cycle paths to explore the region
In Bormes-les-Mimosas, there are numerous cycle paths to discover the town, the seaside, the beaches near the campsite and the towns of the Côte d’Azur. We’ll be happy to advise you on the best routes around our campsite. Discover the region by bike!
The Tourist Office provides detailed maps for cycle touring. Whether you’re a road cyclist or a mountain biker, the routes range from family outings along the coast to more challenging circuits in the Maures massif. Discover the region by bike: hilltop villages, winegrowing estates and panoramic views of the Mediterranean will set the pace for your escapades!

Discover Var gastronomy and Provencal markets
Immerse yourself in the heart of Provence, as you stroll through one of the region’s many traditional markets. Stroll between the market stalls and discover the expertise of local craftsmen and producers. We look forward to seeing you at the Bormes-les-Mimosas market, every Wednesday morning. In July and August, come and enjoy the night market for an even more festive atmosphere.

The wine route from Bormes to La Londe
Bormes-les-Mimosas has been awarded the “Vignobles & Découvertes” label, joining the very large family of French wine-growing regions. This wine tourism label highlights the work of estates that are committed to an environmental approach and have obtained an AOP, AOC or IGP label.
The Provence wine route offers two itineraries from Bormes: one runs along the seafront, the other crosses the plain to the Massif des Maures. The vines grow facing the Mediterranean, with exceptional panoramic views of the Golden Isles.
